Ca bulle
Ca bulle !!! In Moscow today.
Sunday the first of April and yes it is not a joke, I assisted to the first demonstration in Russia. On a sunny sunday afternoon, people are randomly gathering and are making saop bubble. The atmosphere is much different from the non authorized demonstration I assisted to yesterday, in front of the "FSB" (ex KGB) building against the beloved and actual President. I unfortunalty missed my camera this day and won t be able to show you the astonishing fight between the police and the strikers. When witnessing the fight, I tried to remenber the reason why, riot took place again in Paris at Gare du Nord: for the solidarity of a smuggler or maybe to get free nikies ? Probably both, only the French would be able to answer me.
Mais pourquoi est-il aussi mechant ?!!

Jusqu ou mes pas me portent ...
Privet to all,
March the 3rd already. My familly would told you with a sigh relief that I finally left their home sweet home ! The Oyster they are calling me ! But in reallity it s only been one month and one week that I am in the Pays des Soviets, and hopefully I have found a new rock to lock on (Merci Cortex). As we all know, time flies and since my arrival in Russia, so many things have happened to me. This pics will give you a small taste of my time. It is cold, snowy, and empty !!!!!!! Where is the Russian Native Speaker ...
Second week end in Moscow, I am in the middle of an expedition in Karellia, (900km) North from Moscow. A 12 hours trip in a very soviet style train. It is - 30 degres outside, but the ambiance is as hot as hell. When the bottle of vodka were being emptied, Vladimir was singing the ultimate russian pop, and I was practicing the few russian words I knew at that time: Privet, kak dela and snimi trousiki :) The last two words are a must to know here :)
This last picture of a typical Russian train night-coach (No I was not in a submarine) is a special dedication to my Maman who desperatly wants to travel by train to St Peterbourg ! Maman ! You better be ready to drink heavily and sing in Russian. Bring also the aspirin please...
I love Moscow
Moscow is said to be one of the most expensive city in the world. When arriving here, I had this idea of doing what I was doing since more than a year... flatsharing. Things are a little different here, and it is true that when you are not speaking the language, things are getting more challenging. I was in the city since two - three weeks, and at that time I still hoped of finding a place to stay. Did a bit of networking and I finally found an opportunity. My opportunity was on the 6th floor of this building. The flat is fairly central, 45 minutes and at a reasonable price. 600€ per month was a very good deal, maybe too good for the most expensive city in the world. Inside the ultimate soviet building of the 70's, I would had probably spoken russian after a week. But was I ready to put a portrait of Putin above my bed ? I don t think so.
